Earlier this month, I wrote about International Women’s Day and the responsibility leaders have to build organizations where different perspectives and experiences can shape the future of technology. That reflection continues throughout March as we recognize International Women’s Month, and the contributions women make across industries, teams, and communities. 

In supply chain and robotics, that progress is visible every day. 

Automation is advancing rapidly. Warehouses are becoming more intelligent, more connected, and more capable of adapting to constant change. But none of that progress happens without people who are willing to challenge assumptions, test new ideas, and turn emerging technologies into real-world solutions. 

That is why leadership matters so much. 

And it is why I was especially proud to see two members of the Locus Robotics leadership team recognized this year by Supply & Demand Chain Executive as 2026 Pros to Know: Kait Peterson and Gina Chung. 

Recognizing Leaders Who Move the Industry Forward 

The Pros to Know Awards highlight individuals whose work is shaping the future of supply chain operations and logistics innovation. These are leaders who combine vision with execution and help organizations translate new technology into measurable outcomes. 

Kait Peterson, our Vice President and Head of Marketing, was recognized in the Leaders in Excellence category. This is Kait’s second time receiving the honor, after first being named a Rising Star in 2024. 

Kait plays a central role in how Locus Robotics communicates and brings innovation to the market. She leads our global brand strategy, product launches, executive communications, and thought leadership across the supply chain ecosystem. 

Over the past year, Kait has helped lead the introduction of Locus Array and the company’s expansion into the Robots-to-Goods (R2G) automation category. That work required aligning product teams, sales organizations, analysts, partners, and customers around a new way of thinking about fulfillment automation. 

Great marketing in our industry is not just about storytelling. It is about helping customers understand how new technology fits into real operational challenges. 

Kait does that exceptionally well. 

She also invests deeply in developing future leaders. Through initiatives like Locus Ladies and her podcast, The Feminist Exec, she has created spaces for mentorship, conversation, and career development that extend well beyond our own organization. 

A Rising Star in Supply Chain Innovation 

Gina Chung, our Vice President of Corporate Development, was recognized this year as a Rising Star. 

Gina’s career has taken her across multiple continents and some of the most innovative logistics environments in the world. Before joining Locus Robotics, she spent more than a decade at DHL, where she helped lead early deployments of robotics, artificial intelligence, and other emerging technologies in global logistics operations. 

Today at Locus, Gina works closely with our leadership team to guide long-term strategy, partnerships, and product direction. 

One of the initiatives she helped lead this past year was the development and launch of Locus Array, our new automation approach designed to support high-volume fulfillment environments. Bringing a system like that to market requires more than engineering expertise. It requires the ability to understand how warehouses actually operate and how technology will perform at scale. 

Gina brings that perspective every day. 

Her experience working directly inside warehouses and logistics operations gives her a practical understanding of how innovation moves from concept to deployment. 

Building the Environment Where Leaders Can Thrive 

When we talk about recognizing women in technology and supply chain, the conversation often centers on representation. Representation matters, but it is only one piece of the puzzle. 

Organizations also need to create environments where leadership can emerge from anywhere. 

At Locus Robotics today, we have more than 100 women across the company and women hold approximately 40 percent of our leadership roles. That includes leaders across engineering, operations, product development, finance, marketing, legal, customer success, and strategy. 

Those numbers are not the result of a single program or initiative. They reflect a broader commitment to mentorship, opportunity, and creating pathways for talented people to grow. 

Because when organizations invest in people, the impact spreads well beyond individual careers. It shapes teams, companies, and industries. 

Looking Ahead 

The supply chain industry is entering a period of rapid transformation. Robotics, artificial intelligence, and data-driven orchestration are changing how goods move through warehouses and fulfillment networks. 

But the most important factor in that transformation will continue to be leadership. 

Leaders who are curious. Leaders who challenge assumptions. Leaders who help organizations adapt as quickly as the world around them changes. 

Kait Peterson and Gina Chung represent exactly that kind of leadership. 

Their recognition as 2026 Pros to Know is well deserved, and I am proud to work alongside them as we continue building the future of warehouse automation.
