The Challenge
From makeup to skincare to beauty devices, Notino is one of Europe’s largest and fast-growing online and boutique beauty players, shipping 140,000 packages a day. Expanding into Poland, Notino’s manual operations presented multiple challenges. Manual pick rates averaged c.160 UPH, and Notino struggled to keep pace with seasonal peak volatility. Layout constraints (1.1m aisles) limited optimization potential. And, with labor costs rising, Notino needed a stable operating model for its high-growth eCommerce environment, which could operate without rebuilding the facility.
The Solution
To validate performance and flexibility, Locus Robotics deployed a 6-month pilot of 70 Locus Origin robots on the mezzanine level. The fleet expanded to 110 robots during peak. Deployed through a flexible RaaS model, Notino increased capacity without facility redesign or long-term infrastructure commitment. Powered by the LocusONE® platform, robots operate seamlessly across zones to maintain consistent throughput as volumes shift.

The Results
Together with Locus Robotics as its partner, Notino is building a scalable, automated fulfillment model designed to support its long-term expansion goals across Europe. And, with continued volume growth, and further automation expansion underway, Notino’s site deployment is only expected to increase.
