We are seeking a Senior Robotics Test Engineer for the Advanced Products Group (APG) to support testing and iteration of new concepts through production. APG is a forward-thinking group that evaluates product opportunities with 2–4-year roadmaps using emerging technologies.

In this role, you will design and implement product lifecycle tests to validate electro-mechanical assemblies while leveraging hardware, electronics, and software. We value well-rounded, curious engineers with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

This onsite role is based out of our Nashua, NH office.

Responsibilities

  • Identify points of failure and generate design validation plans to target critical points or new technologies while working alongside the Engineering, Manufacturing and Product teams.
  • Collaborate with technicians to perform component or system tests by simulating realistic or accelerated dynamic usage and environmental conditions.
  • Design, build, instrument, and automate test equipment and fixtures for mechanical, thermal and electrical systems.
  • Investigate failures to drive product improvement through testing in collaboration with quality teams.
  • Define end-of-line test procedures for final assembly in production.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience of electro-mechanical system testing in robotics or automation.
  • Fundamental understanding of DC electrical systems with the ability to interpret wiring schematics.
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting electrical systems using essential diagnostic tools, including multimeters and oscilloscopes.
  • Strong experience with SolidWorks in a collaborative environment such as Product Data Management (PDM).
  • Basic competency in a scripting language such as Python.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
